Jose joined Tigo in 1992 as Customer Operations Manager of our operation in Paraguay. He was then promoted to the CFO position in 1997. After that, he was appointed General Manager (GM) of Transcom Paraguay, MIC’s operation dedicated to the call center business in Paraguay. Prior to being transferred to Colombia, Jose was GM of our operations in Honduras. Benjamin Aya Tagoe, age 37, joined Millicom in July 1996 as Network Operations Engineer for our operation in Ghana. He was then appointed Planning & Project Implementation Manager in July 1998 for that operation before being assigned a secondment in Sierra Leone as CTO in November 2000. In January 2003 he went back to Ghana as CTO and in January 2007, Benjamin was promoted to the position of CTO for English-speaking Africa (Ghana, Sierra Leone and Tanzania). Osmar Coronel, age 43, joined Millicom in January 1992 as CTO of our operation in Paraguay. He was then promoted to the Regional CTO position for the Latin America region in November 2002. In October 2006, Osmar joined the corporate head office in Luxembourg, as CTO for our operations world-wide. Gloria de Arce, age 42, was appointed General Manager of Tigo’s operations in Paraguay in March 2007. Gloria started her career at Tigo in September 2000 as Wireless & Internet; and in September 2006, she was appointed COO in Paraguay.
