CEO Mauricio Ramos: “In 2021, coming out of the pandemic, Tigo Money moved a billion dollars”

On August 28th Millicom | Tigo CEO Mauricio Ramos expressed in an interview with El Deber Bolivia, that he wanted to help with more digitization since the operation of Tigo Money is growing at higher rates of development in Bolivia than in many places in the world.
He said, “I believe that in the next 2 or 3 years, perhaps sooner, Bolivia and other countries in which Tigo operates will be making digital mobile payments with advanced technology that will surpass the best countries in the world. Bancarization rates in Bolivia are low, but the need to make digital payments is high.”
