In dialogue with DPL News, the CEO and Chairman of the Board of Millicom, Mauricio Ramos, spoke about the company's ambitious operational and financial goals.

He expressed that Latin America holds significant opportunities in the digital world due to its demographic growth and young population. However, for digital highways to expand, paradigm shifts are necessary. These include overcoming the revenue-centric view of spectrum, reformulating universal service funds, involving Big Tech in network financing, and engaging in infrastructure-sharing models.

In recent years, Millicom has emerged as one of the leading telecommunications operators in Central America, following its exit from the African market. It capitalized on the departure of competitors from some of these countries to strengthen its position.
