An important milestone in the way Millicom offers TV content to customers
March 2018: Tigo ONEtv is our next-generation user-experience platform, offering our customers cutting-edge pay-TV entertainment, with advanced personalization and recommendations, a seamless integration of content across linear and on-demand channels, as well as robust multiscreen capabilities.
We first launched ONEtv in 2017, working in collaboration with TiVo and beginning with our operations in Colombia. In 2018, we began the roll-out to all our Latin American markets, beginning with Costa Rica (April).
This cutting-edge service, a first for the region, affords people a new, high-quality television experience.
We believe there is real demand. More than ten thousand Colombian households subscribed to ONEtv within the first few weeks of its launch.
ONEtv, in return, provides them with a single integrated experience for all the video platforms they enjoy, across a range of distributors, payTV providers and mainstream broadcasters, including Sony's Crackle, FOX, YouTube and HBO.
All our customers need is one set-top box and one remote control.
Through ONEtv, Millicom is responding effectively to fast-growing growing demand in Latin America for pay-TV, fixed-line broadband and mobile together.
